Bagua's Greatest Masters, Beijing 1993

"Video tape of some of the demonstrations of the 1st meeting of the Guójì Bāguà Zhǎng Liányì Huì (International Bagua Zhang Friendship Association). This meeting took place in Beijing on December 24-27 1993.
This was probably the greatest assembly of bagua masters in history. Virtually every major branch of the Bagua family was represented, and virtually every one of the greatest masters of the time attended this gathering. Many of these masters have since passed on.
I will not attempt to name all the masters in this video, I will just say this: if you can think of a great bagua master living at the time, it is very likely that they were there." TheaSinensisSerpenti

Wing Chun VS Xing Yi - Fight!

"This is footage taken for a reality TV show in China, focusing on taking young Wing Chun and MMA guys to train and fight with exponents of various traditional Chinese arts. Each episode was dedicated to 1-3 arts. There was an episode dedicated to XYQ, XinYi Liu He and Dai XinYi. In that episode, a few XYQ people (though not XinYi practitioners) fought the hosts (Wing Chun guy and MMA guy), and did poorly against them overall. .......Most of the footage shown on the video I posted here was originally taken for that episode......" here

Xing Yi Quan Pangen - Twisting Root Excercise - Bagua?

Hi Fritz, it's different from bagua :-) I also study bagua (as additional style)! But XYQ circle walking is different. See the steps, the foot position is different, it is not tangnibu in pangen. Also handwork is other one. The body position is quite same. Best regards! Paul

Sword of Goujian

The Sword of Goujian,
Unearthed by Chinese Archeologists in 1965, the Sword of Guijan is an ancient bronze sword dating to the Spring and Autumn period of Chinese history (771 to 403 BCE).  The most amazing aspects of this sword are its beautiful etchings and its state of preservation.  After over 2,500 years the sword has no corrosion or tarnish and is still razor sharp.  Scientists theorize that its preservation was due to a special alloy of bronze containing copper, tin, lead, iron, arsenic, and sulfur. It was also contained within a well crafted airtight scabbard.  Today the Sword Guijian can be found at the Hubei Provincial Museum.
